Do would be props have to pay a fee to be allowed to prop?
Posted on October 22, 2009Poker props do not have to pay any sort of fees to be accepted as a prop. Their sole obligation concerns the propping rules which have to be followed strictly at all times.
Poker props are the ones who get paid when a poker room accepts them. When they sign up as props, they essentially become the employees of the poker room, charged with providing action for the regular players. Make no mistake though, despite the fact that props will act like employees, they will have to bring their own money to the tables and they’ll risk that just like any regular player. If a prop registers at a poker room which offers more than 100% rakeback though, he’ll basically be paid to play, and it’ll be as if a part of the rake that’s collected at his table went directly into his pockets.
