Poker prop seating rules
Posted on November 18, 2009Seating rules represent an extremely important part of every poker prop deal. They can actually make or break the deal for you. Say you’re a good heads-up player and you count on the fact that you can generate humongous amounts of rake at the heads-up tables, but your deal doesn’t allow you to play heads-up at all.
What seating rules are generally meant to achieve though is to limit the number of props at the same table. Therefore, they’ll set the maximum number of props according to the number of seats featured by the table. Heads-up, you won’t be allowed to play against another prop, and most of the time you’ll be required to create a new table when you come across any table with only one open seat left. It is obviously not in the poker room’s interest to have its props playing amongst themselves.
