The importance of reading prop deal details
Posted on October 29, 2009Poker prop deals are usually advertised through the highest possible percentage they offer. This is why it is extremely important that you read all the details provided by your prop site before signing up for a deal. Never sign up based on the rakeback percentage alone. Here’s an example of how a real prop deal looks like:
- Advertised as a 120% rakeback one, this deal pays up to 120%. The key word here is “up to”
- Prop players get 90% rakeback on all cash games and tourney fees, but if they take part in the regular loyalty scheme offered by the site, they can take that up to 120%.
- A 4% transaction fee is deducted from rakeback earnings when players withdraw money from the site.
Of course, there are a bunch of other restrictions which you need to read through too. Make sure you understand 100% what you’re getting yourself into.
